DONOR SUPPORT & PRIVACY POLICY

We can assist you with:
• questions about a donation or store purchase item on your credit card bill
• looking up the status of a donation or a merchandise order that you've placed
• canceling an store purchase that you ordered
• returning an item purchased in our store for credit or a replacement item

Store Merchandise Orders

Orders are filled and shipped within 72 hours of receipt. We ship via USPS Priority Mail.

MAIN STORE RETURNS/EXCHANGES

Our Return Policy is fairly simple and hopefully clear. We want you to be happy with our products. The items we choose to feature in our store front are of the highest quality. If an item does not meet your satisfaction or is defective, you may return it within 10 days for a store credit. Be sure to insure any returned packages. Shipping charges or costs are not refundable. All returned items must be in resalable condition in order for a store credit to be issued. A store credit will be issued in the amount of the item's price only. Absolutely no returns accepted after 10 days.

DAMAGE IN TRANSIT

Although we pack every item as carefully as possible, occasionally an item may arrive damaged. If that happens, please retain all original packing material and notify us thru within 10 days of receipt.

Our Commitment To Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices. 

The Clamshell Foundation respects the privacy of visitors to its Web site. We strongly believe that if electronic commerce and online activities are to flourish, consumers must be assured that information provided online is used responsibly and appropriately. To protect online privacy, we have implemented the following policy.

From Casual Web Site Visitors and General Users: We do not collect any personal information from users browsing our Web site. When you use the public areas of our Web site you are doing so anonymously. We do collect aggregate use information, such as the number of hits (visits) per page. We use aggregate data for internal and marketing purposes, but we don't collect any personally identifying information.

From Our Donors and Other Customers: If while visiting our Web site you order a product, make a charitable donation, register for an activity, submit a support question, or request other information, you will be asked to provide certain information. In all cases this information is submitted voluntarily. In most cases, we ask clients to provide their name, title, organization name, address, telephone, and e-mail. If you're making an online purchase or making an online donation you will be asked for credit card information in order to complete your transaction.  The Clamshell Foundation uses Google Checkout for Non-Profits and they utilize secure transaction methods (SSL) when collecting credit card information over the Internet. Google does not disclose credit card account information to us or any third parties. Their privacy policy is clearly stated on the site where you check out and make your transaction.  A few days after you complete your transaction with Google, they simply transfer funds into our Clamshell account.

Customer Lists:  Our client list is not for sale. When you visit our Web site or become a donor or merchandise customer  your name and mailing information will not be sold or given to a third party.

The Way We Use Information: We use the information that you provide about yourself only to complete the donations or merchandise purchase transaction. We do not share this information with outside parties. We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above unless required by law.
