THE GREAT BONAC FIREWORKS SHOW

The Great Bonac Fireworks Show is a three-decade Long Island tradition of staging a dynamic midsummer fireworks show for residents of East Hampton, New York and our visitors  The event is staged each year over Three Mile Harbor at East Hampton.  The tradition almost faded into history, but in 2009, the East Hampton based Clamshell Foundation began reviving the popular event.

This is an excellent opportunity to promote your company by becoming a sponsor, a donor and/or volunteer and at the same time support our community and have fun.  The event is entirely funded by corporate sponsorship and public contributions from people just like you. There are many ways you can help.  Please contact us to discuss various opportunities. Help make the 30th Annual fireworks show the best ever.

The date of this year's 31st annual show is Saturday, July 21st.  Raindate is July 22nd.

Bonac traditionally refers to an area called Springs (located in East Hampton, NY).  Many of the original Bonac families in Springs were among the very early settlers of the town, having come from England, possibly Kent or Dorchester, Dorset, in the 1600s and 1700s. Bonackers made their living as baymen, fishermen, and farmers. Clams and clamming -- both hard shell and soft shell -- were at the heart of Bonac culture and cuisine.
